The Assomada Health Center in the municipality of Santa Catarina de Santiago will be officially unveiled today, as will a health post in the Achada Lém district of the municipality.

The two health facilities have been refurbished with financing from the government of Luxembourg, in partnership with the State of Cape Verde.

According to a communiqué from the Ministry of Health, “the region of North Santiago has merited special attention in the rehabilitation of health facilities, the acquisition of equipment, etc., due to the number of municipalities it encompasses, as well as the population that benefits from them.”

The opening of the Assomada Health Center will take place at 3:30 pm, while the unveiling of the Achada Lém post will be held at 4:30 pm. Both will be attended by Prime Minister José Maria Neves.
