The taxi drivers on the island of São Vicente who participated in an English-language course between December 4, 2007 and February 29 of this year will receive their diplomas this afternoon in a ceremony scheduled to take place in the Shell Club at 5:30 pm.

The first-ever English course for taxi drivers on the island of São Vicente was financed by Shell Cabo Verde, lasted for three months and was attended by 20 cab professionals.

The course used as its textbook the English Manual for Taxi Drivers released in November 2007 by the National Organization for Solidarity from the Diaspora.
